Old man on the street

While we were talking with him, took these two snaps with 35mm on my D7200. Shooting without the viewfinder using 50mm equivalent is the maximum I can use.

Random collections from my local market. Shot with D7200 with 35mm DX and Sigma 17-50 except the first one, which was with nikon 85mm.

Shopkeepes in a hot summer day near Dhakuria bridge, Kolkata

This is from my first street walk after I got Tamron 70-300 F/4-5.6 Di VC USD. Shot at 300 mm (450mm on DX).   Shopkeepers, 2017

50mm street photos

35mm DX was the first lens I bought with my D7200. It is compact, light and sharp according my need. I quite enjoy 50mm on street, framing is a bit tight but without any distortion it is an artistic lens. All shots with 35mm DX on the streets of Kolkata.

My local with Vivo z1 pro

Now a days I shoot with my smartphone a lot because it is always in my pocket. It's easy to carry when I go to the morning market and carry in one hand when other hand is occupied with a bag full of vegetables or something else. Some of my very recent photos captures with my smartphone Vivo Z1 Pro.

Hello!

Hi, I am Soumitra Saha, a street and documentary photographer from Kolkata. Basically, I don’t like to define myself in a category so rather I would like to say I am a people’s photographer, who loves to capture people’s faces with their emotions and daily life. I have started my photography journey at the end of December 2016. Currently, I am shooting with Nikon D7200 and my Smartphone Vivo z1 pro.
